The advantages of Yamaha Outboard Motor F300D

Bahari Friends, in Indonesian waters there are already many Yamaha outboard engines with large PKs, namely F200, F250, then F300 and F350, where these machines are more often used for transportation use and government agencies. The F300 outboard engine is one of the 4200cc large V6 offshore PK outboard engine lines. This V6 series engine was previously used in the F200 & amp; F250 but with a smaller cc to be precise 3352cc.

In 2010, PT Karya Bahari Abadi introduced the F300B outboard engine in Indonesia, in line with the development of demand, water conditions & amp; technology, in 2019 the successor outboard engine, the F300D, was introduced. This F300D engine is specially designed for Indonesian waters and commercial needs, especially in areas of water that contain a lot of mud.

What are the advantages of the F300D engine?

1. Full Digital Electronic Control

 
System Command Link plus, provides ease of overall control by using a display that can control up to 3 to 4 machines at once.

2. More Powerful

With a larger engine capacity of 4200cc, BS 96mmX96mm, CR 10.5: 1 and an ECU specially designed to be more powerful without sacrificing fuel efficiency over long distances.

3. Lighter > 19% vs other 300hp competitor outboards

It is lighter thanks to the Sleeveless Cylinder Bore (Plasma Fused coating) technology allowing for a larger Cylinder Bore.

1. F250G-F250H > 283kg (X); 289kg (U) > Stainless Steel Prop
2. F300B > 260kg (X); 268kg (U) > tanpa Prop

4. Stronger and More Reliable

1. Lower F350 outboard engine > 6AW V8 5300cc, which has a heavy duty gear, ultra-tough gear case, and hardened steel drive shaft
2. Using Universal Joint on the Shift Rod, because of the different dimensions in the lower unit F350
3. Saltwater XL series propellers
4. Air intake Labyrinth which is designed to capture water entering through the top cowling in normal cruising conditions and drain it into the exhaust so it doesn’t get into the fuel intake, making this engine tough.

5. More Economy& Lower Emission(EU Regulation)

a. F300B > RON 94 (Pertamax – Pertamax plus)
b. F300D > RON 90 (Pertamax – Pertalite)
