Jakarta, 6 March 2026 — PT Karya Bahari Abadi (KBA) has officially inaugurated the KBA Sunter Service Center & Warehouse as part of its efforts to strengthen Yamaha Marine services in Indonesia. This initiative represents a strategic step to enhance aftersales service quality, accelerate spare parts distribution, and support marine workforce development.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by distinguished guests, including North Jakarta Mayor Hendra Hidayat, Director of Polair Education Center Kombes Pol. Andree Ghama Putra, as well as representatives from key institutions such as the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Basarnas, KPLP, and Customs.
In his remarks, KBA’s President Director emphasized that aftersales excellence remains a core priority in maintaining Yamaha Marine product reliability in Indonesia. This commitment is supported by three main pillars: spare parts availability, service network expansion, and human resource development.
From a logistics perspective, KBA operates an integrated distribution system supported by warehouses across multiple regions, enabling fast and reliable spare parts fulfillment nationwide. On the service side, KBA provides specialized outboard engine workshops equipped with modern tools and certified technicians to ensure consistent service standards.
The Sunter facility itself is designed as an integrated hub combining service center and warehouse functions. This integration allows for more efficient operations, ensuring faster service processes and improved customer support.
KBA also continues to strengthen technical competency development through its training network, including the Regional Training Center in Bali under Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. Japan, along with other training facilities across Indonesia.
In a broader context, the development of service infrastructure is aligned with national maritime ecosystem initiatives, including support for the Kampung Nelayan Merah Putih (KNMP) program. KBA contributes through technician training and the development of repair workshops and marine supply stores that support fishing communities.
Through this approach, facilities such as KBA Sunter play a dual role—not only enhancing service quality but also supporting the readiness of infrastructure and human resources needed for sustainable maritime development.
The inauguration of the KBA Sunter Service Center & Warehouse reflects KBA’s ongoing commitment to delivering professional, integrated, and globally standardized services, while contributing to the advancement of Indonesia’s maritime industry.
