Denpasar, located at the KBA-Yamaha Training Center, Jl By Pass Ngurah Rai, Denpasar, Bali. On July 31, 2023 a closing ceremony was held for the training activities at the Yamaha Outboard Engine Technician Workplace in Collaboration with the Jaka Perkasa Citra Cemerlang Foundation.
As one of the stakeholders in the national maritime industry, especially in the outboard engine segment, PT Karya Bahari Abadi (KBA-Yamaha) continues to be committed to advancing the domestic maritime industry, especially in developing human resources. One way to do this is through the On the Job Training program.
This training activity at the Yamaha Outboard Engine Technician Workplace was initiated by the Jaka Perkasa Citra Cemerlang Foundation which focuses on the Maluku region.
This activity was held from May to July 2023, taking place at the KBA-Yamaha Service Center in Serangan, Denpasar. Followed by 5 participants, namely: Martinus Rahametwau (54 years), Fiktor Salhuteru (32 years), Yunus Bastian (39 years), Rudolf Lokarleky (33 years), Resci Miru (31 years). The five participants came from the Maluku region. With training materials namely Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul.
The Jaka Perkasa Citra Cemerlang Foundation welcomed this training activity and hoped that the training participants could make a positive contribution in their places of origin.
Jonny Herjawan, Chairman of the Jaka Perkasa Citra Cemerlang Foundation said “Today is proof of what I believe is that both are better than alone, we try to go to the regions and empower people in the regions, and when we meet KBA-Yamaha it’s like fire find gas. These trainees are like seeds that will grow into trees and bear fruit which will become the next seeds.”
With this training, it is hoped that the participants can become reliable Yamaha outboard engine technicians so they can support fishing activities.
“With this training, we hope that the participants can carry out outboard engine maintenance independently, so they can maintain the condition of the outboard engines to support their fishing activities in producing optimal catches. And also being able to help other people in the maintenance and repair of Yamaha outboard engines, so that they can become a new profession as a Yamaha Outboard Engine Technician.” explained Gatot S Admodirdjo, Main Director of PT Karya Bahari Abadi
On this occasion KBA-Yamaha also handed over General Tools and Special Tools to support the work of the participants. By handing over these tools, it is hoped that the participants can create a better life for the participants and their environment.
After this training, it is hoped that the relationship between the participants and KBA-Yamaha will continue so that a mutually beneficial relationship can be realized for the participants and KBA-Yamaha.
This training activity is clear evidence of KBA-Yamaha’s commitment to support the development of Human Resources in the Maritime sector, towards Golden Indonesia 2045.
