Jakarta, 29 June 2024 – Since it was inaugurated by the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports, the 2024 Aquabike National Competition championship has become a much awaited event. After Series 1 which was held at Lake Toba, Balige, North Sumatra last March, this time Series 2 was held directly at Mutiara Beach, Jakarta.
Opened directly by the Chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Association, Mr. Bambang Soesatyo, the 2nd event of the Aquabike National Competition heated up and stimulated the adrenaline of the racing participants. A total of 16 selected participants from all over Indonesia took part and performed on the seas of Jakarta. KBA Yamaha Marine is one of the main sponsors of this event and provides full support for the continuity of the event.
Not only through the presence of KBA Yamaha Marine, the Yamaha WaveRunner Racing Team was also introduced to this racing match through the Garuda Racing Team. This team is strengthened by 4 racers who use the Waverunner FX Cruiser SVHO and GP1800R line-up. In the Endurance Heat class, in moto 1 to moto 4, the racers, strengthened by the presence of young Indonesian names, raced with enthusiasm.
This event, which lasted for 2 days, 29-30 June 2024, also succeeded in bringing the Yamaha Waverunner to the top of the Endurance Heat standings through the victory of Makaio Lim who became first winner in the Aquabike National Competition Series 2.
Furthermore, this Aquabike event will be held at a different venue which is optimistic that the Yamaha Waverunner racers will continue to strive for even better achievements.
